Katie Leigh is a credentialed victim advocate with nearly ten years of experience supporting survivors, both within the legal system and in broader community settings. A full-time working mother of four, Katie lives a whole and grounded life, finding joy in quiet walks, gardening, travel, deep conversations, and the occasional chocolate truffle coffee break. She experiences the presence of Jesus in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments, and her greatest joy comes from living in peace and cultivating meaningful relationships. Katie's passion for advocacy is rooted in personal and professional experience:

• She is, first and foremost, a follower of Jesus and loves Him and His church.

• She is a survivor of multiple forms of abuse.

• She is an adoptive mother to children with complex trauma histories.

• She is a credentialed advocate and comprehensive victim intervention specialist certified by the National Advocate Credentialing Program (NACP) under the National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA).

• She serves as Advocacy Director and Co-Founder of CARE Group, a legal advocacy initiative prioritizing survivors of clergy abuse.

• She has served as a court-appointed advocate within one of the most challenging systems in existence—child protective services.

• She trains and advises a broad range of professionals including attorneys, politicians, professors, clergy, and community leaders on advanced victim care, safeguarding, and prevention strategies.

• She works within a collaborative network of seasoned frontline professionals who have been advocating for victims for decades.

• She prioritizes victim-centered advocacy, ensuring that survivors remain in control of their stories and pathways to justice.

• She seeks God’s unfolding justice in the midst of human suffering, and firmly believes that healing and restoration are always possible.
